Robert Bencher, a Director for Rules-Based Medicine, began his career as a Scientist at Abbott Laboratories in 1983 and was involved in the development of the first commercially available HIV blood test. He has since held sales, marketing, and strategic consulting roles with several companies including Johnson & Johnson, Pall Life Sciences, Chiron Diagnostics, Bayer Healthcare, and MetriGenix. Rob holds a Chemistry degree from Michigan State University (1983) and a MBA in Marketing and Finance from Loyola University of Chicago (1987).

Mr. Jeff Freiser
Director of Sales, Western Region
Prior to joining Rules-Based Medicine as a Regional Sales Director, Jeff began his career as a Research Scientist at Allozyme Inc., a start-up biotechnology company located in Oakland, CA. He has since held sales positions at several biotechnology companies including MiraiBio Inc. (a Hitachi Software Co.) where he managed a sales team and provided technical support for a line of imaging systems, microarray equipment, and Luminex instrumentation and software. More recently he served as the West Coast Sales Manager for LINCO Research, again performing a sales role and providing technical assistance with multiplexed biomarker immunoassay kits. Jeff holds a Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Sabine Küsters
Director of Scientific Relations
Sabine Küsters joined RBM in 2006. She brings over five years of experience as Luminex Product Manager for BioSource working with distributors in Europe and the Middle East. Previously Sabine was head of the in-vitro immunology laboratory for Asta Medica at their Dresden facility. Sabine has a PhD in Biology from Konstanz University.

PD Dr. Friederike Mueller
Director Business Development
PD Dr. Friederike Mueller jointed RBM in 2008 as Director Business Development. Before, Dr. Mueller worked over six years for Biomol GmbH as Head of Sales South Germany. In this position she was responsible for Luminex Kit sales and protein and mRNA patterning services. She began her career as Head of Laboratory in the department of Internal Medicine I of the University Hospital Ulm. She completed her qualification as University Lecturer and holds a PhD degree from the University of Ulm.

Liz Rinehart, B.S. NMT, CNMT
Director Business Development
Liz Rinehart, B.S. NMT, CNMT, currently serves as Director, Business Development for RBM and has over 20 years experience in the immunoassay service arena. Liz received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from the University of Missouri in 1986 and began her career working as a nuclear medical technologist at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis where she performed nuclear cardiology. She then moved to St. John’s Mercy Hospital in 1988 to perform and develop assays in the RIA laboratory. In 1995 she joined LINCO Research, Inc, a small startup company that provided diagnostic kits, reagents and analytical services to pharmaceutical, biotech and academic communities with a primary focus in diabetes and obesity research. Liz was largely responsible for developing an Assay Services Department at LINCO and was the driving force in growing this analytical services component to provide nearly a third of the company’s overall revenues. In 2006, after the sale of LINCO to Millipore Corporation, she was promoted to serve on the site management team for business development at Millipore and continued to serve as Manager of Services in a greatly expanded analytical service department. Liz is based out of St Louis, MO.

Mr. Kevin Dunne
Director Business Development, Northern Europe
Kevin Dunne, a Director for Rules-Based Medicine began his career as a scientist at British Biotechnology, whilst also studying Biochemistry day release in Oxford. Further research roles were at the GSF in Munich and The Welcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics - Oxford University. Following the move into sales and marketing, Kevin has held various sales and marketing positions at several companies including Affymetrix, NimbleGen, where Kevin was one of the first in Europe setting up the Northern European sales Team and most recent was the Northern European Sales manager for Roche Diagnostics.

Mr. Troy Tremaine

Troy Tremaine, a Director for Rules-Based Medicine Eastern Region. Troy brings over 14 years of technical sales, sales management and marketing experience with several biotechnology companies including BD Biosciences, Genetix Limited and Perkin Elmer LAS. Troy holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Northeast Louisiana University and a MBA in International Business from the University of Phoenix.

Janet Yang
Director, Business Development, Western Region
Prior to this position, Janet has been in various positions. i.e. Sr. Bioscience Specialist, VP of Sales & Marketing, Key Account Manager. Janet obtained both of her B.S and Master of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology at San Francisco State University. Janet worked in yeast genetic labs, Chemistry lab, Immunology and Cell & Molecular Biology Labs as T.A., R.A. Project leader, P.I. for almost 10 years before move out of the lab and took a technical support position in a biotech company at Bay Area in late 90’s She started her first sales position two years later and has been working in this field ever since.
