RBM's facilities include the biomarker testing laboratory, located in Austin, TX and a multiplex immunoassay development and kit manufacturing facility in Lake Placid, NY. Our testing panels, called Multi-Analyte Profiles (MAPs), measure from several to hundreds of proteins in a small sample in multiple species and sample types. MAPs provide robust biomarker patterns for drug development, diagnostic, consumer product, and environmental applications. The Quality Control Manager will well help maintain the highest quality and reliability in the manufacturing of GMP multiplex immunoassay kits.
Senior Systems Administrator
We are looking for a Systems Administrator to be in charge of developing and maintaining the company’s Informational Technology systems that run on the company’s network infrastructure.
Principle Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for developing, validating and maintaining of all high level systems.
- Responsible for regulatory compliance of associated systems.
- Monitors and enforces system and data security.
- Monitors and troubleshoots system performance issues.
- Creates practices and maintains disaster recovery plans for associated systems.
- Recommends upgrades and patches systems as appropriate.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Leads others as appropriate.
- Performs as backup Network Administrator as appropriate.
Position Requirements
- Requires five or more years experience in systems administration or a related area.
- Extensive knowledge of and practical experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA regulations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written material.

Research Associate- Testing
RBM is looking for self-motivated individuals to fill several Research Associate-Testing positions. In this position you will be responsible for the execution and analysis of immunoAssay’s, sample and reagent preparation and other related tasks as needed. We are seeking a multi-talented individual with experience in the life sciences industry.
The following shifts are available: Afternoon- 3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in scientific discipline with at least one year of relevant experience or if non-degreed at least five years of relevant laboratory experience of increasingly complex nature.
- Innovative and hypothetical testing skills must be established.
- Must possess statistical analytical skills of advanced quality.
- Experience with ImmunoAssays and analysis recommended.
- Experience in GLP Regulated environment recommended.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must work well in a team environment.

Senior Scientist/Laboratory Manager
RBM is looking for a self-motivated individual to fill a Senior Scientist/Laboratory Manager position. In this position you will be responsible for the management and supervision of Laboratory personnel, as well as the design, development, evaluation, improvement, and technical support of reagents and methods. The primary purpose is to develop, validate, and maintain large numbers of multiplexed immunoassays for measuring analyte levels in human and rodent samples.
Principle Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate assay development, improvement, validation, and transfer activities from Manufacturing to Production and data reporting.
- Conceive, plan, organize, and direct reagent and method development, evaluation, and improvement as a leader of the laboratory team.
- Lead project status meetings, conference calls, and other activities to move projects to completion on time and within budget.
- Manage changes to projects and report their impact on milestones, budgets, or product specifications to senior management.
- Interact with other scientists and engineers in department and company to be aware of other scientific activities and relationships to ensure consistency of process methodologies.
- Ensure adequate documentation processes are in place and implemented in support of GLP and GMP regulations and quality standards.
- Make original, independent decisions on complex scientific problems and recommendations of course of action based on data and interpretation.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate team members in proper laboratory practices.
- Maintain and author assay development and validation procedures and reports.
- Maintain currency of scientific literature and provide advice and guidance as a technical expert in area of expertise.
Position Requirements:
- Requires a PhD with 2+ years, an MS degree with 5+ years, or a BS degree with 10+ years of proven, outstanding performance including direct supervisory responsibilities. The degree should be in the life sciences field.
- Requires previous hands-on immunoassay experience, preferably with Luminex bead-based technology.
- The position requires unique scientific expertise in which the incumbent has independent, science-based, decision-making responsibilities.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to apply scientific principles in an innovative fashion are necessary.
- Excellent oral and written communication and the ability to work well in a team environment are required.
